Crossing Art – Beyond a gallery

Crossing Art is more then a place to see a painting. It is a venue for art where collectors, institutions, corporations and community members can participate in an interactive exchange with art. Their mission is to provide an international platform for the open exchange of ideas, culture and aesthetics.

Representing a select group of Chinese and international artists, Crossing Art is also a venue that offers Art Advisory. Guidance and professional advice is offered to individual artists, companies, private collectors and museums. From art consultation to art leasing to exhibition design, Crossing Art offers Art Advisory on a variety of areas to museums, corporations and on a personal level as well.

“Beyond the Colony of Kitsch” their current exhibition is on display through Sunday 5/16. Examining the work of seven artists from Hong Kong, mediums range from ceramic and photography to sculpture and video. On Sunday 5/2 “After Floating”, a Chinese Contemporary Dance will be performed in conjunction with their current exhibit at 3pm – RSVP required.

Get on board with QAX 2010 and include a stop at Crossing Art in Flushing on Sunday 6/13 to experience this intriguing venue! Free!

Last day of Queens Art Express is the first day of Live at the Gantries

Long Island City. The name alone inspires thoughts of hip bars, trendy restaurants, amazing condos and a true, old school Queens neighborhood feel. While visitors and residents enjoy all of these elements of LIC, they also appreciate Gantry Plaza State Park. This serene gem at the waters edge of the East River in Hunters Point allows you to take in magnificent views of the big city (which appears to be an arms reach away from the pier) while finding a quiet moment in a place lined with peaceful walkways surrounded by natural habitats and gardens. Whether you want a minute of private solace, to stretch your legs with your family and friends, let the kids run around the park, or simply want to take great photos of NYC, Gantry Plaza State Parks provides the location to achieve all of this!

This summer Gantry Plaza State Park becomes the host for the Live at the Gantries festival! This is a series of free, outdoor performances that range from dance troupes and theater to a variety of musical entertainment!
The 2010 season kicks off June 13th.
QCA is proud to be one of the producers for this entertaining and exciting Queens festival!
