Spring is here! – and we’re looking forward to celebrating its arrival with you.
Winter may have been brutal, but now that the snow boots have been tossed in the back of the closet, and the clocks have been pushed an hour ahead, it’s clear we’re ready for spring. So, to celebrate this season of long-awaited revitalization, TheQNote.com and Rejuvenate Face and Body (rejuvenatenyc.com) – Astoria’s beloved organic spa – present Springtime/Art & Commerce.
On Saturday, April 2, from 2 p.m. – 6 p.m., we’ll take over the two floors of intimate TEN10 Studios (ten10studios.com) in Long Island City to curate a lively mix of food, art, and design. Grab a glass of wine and start the leisurely shopping spree by sifting through the handmade dresses and vintage-inspired fashions from LIC’s Ethereal Boutique (etherealnyc.com/store/), or the elegantly edgy stone jewelry crafted by local designer Lithos du Monde (lithosdumonde.com).
Peruse the whimsical illustrations by paper and household goods producer Fisk and Fern (fiskandfern.com), and, just in time for weekends devoted to bike riding, discover how to make the most of cramped apartment space with storage-saving, solid maplewood bike shelves made by Astoria’s own UrbanCityBikeShelves (urbancitybikeshelves.com). When you’re ready for a break, chow down on savory treats whipped up by neighborhood trattoria Vesta (vestavino.com), or perk up with a cup of well-made joe (and homey desserts) from LIC coffee haunt Sweetleaf (http://tinyurl.com/626ubh4).
Peer at vibrant photos of local landscapes by TEN10’s Jesse Winter and listen to Astoria songstress Jeanne Boes (jeanneboes.com) croon. Of course Reuvenate’s own Evelyn will be on hand flaunting the likes of organic scrubs and mineral-based cosmetics, while TheQNote will be there to say hello and share what’s in store for the site in coming months. We have goodie bags – but a limited amount – so RSVP to email@example.com to snag one.
