Heart of Corona Artful Tastes Tours: The Corona Action Network (CAN) and Queens Museum of Art (QMA), in collaboration with local business, will take you on artist-lead tours to discover the Tastes of Corona on Saturday, June 12. Enjoy an exciting journey through a neighborhood where cultures meet! Join their guides in Corona Plaza for a gastronomic tour featuring free samples then work off lunch with three cultural tours; explore African American and Italian heritage of Corona or cultural institutions in Flushing Meadows Corona Park.

WALKING TOURS
11am-12pm, TOUR 1 : Tastings & Corona History with historian Jack Eichenbaum – North Corona Loop (Starts/Ends Corona Plaza, via LAHM)

12pm-1pm, TOUR 2 : Tastings & Corona History with historian Jack Eichenbaum – South Corona (Start Corona Plaza, ends Spaghetti Park)

2pm-3pm, TOUR 3: African American History of Corona for Families with artist Raul Hurtado (Louis Armstrong House, Dorrie Miller Houses, Langston Hughes Library)

2pm-3pm, TOUR 4: African American History of Corona with artist Tahir Hemphill * IN ENGLISH ONLY* (Louis Armstrong House, Dorrie Miller Houses, Langston Hughes Library)

3pm-4pm, TOUR 5: From Spaghetti Park to Flushing Meadows Corona Park with artist Georgie Flores (Starts Corona Plaza, through Italian Corona, then ends at Queens Museum)

IN THE PLAZA
11am-4pm: Tabling /Handing out QAX flyers, QAX Corona Maps (QMA, Corona CAN, Casa Ecuatoriana)

11am-12:30pm: DJ Juan Mapu spinning diverse Latin music (reggeaton, cumbia, retro) with a little South Asian bhangra for added spice

12pm-4pm: Art Making Workshops with Georgie Flores and Pablo Caviedes

12:30pm: Mariachi (Alex can we confirm which group)

1:20pm: Ayasamana Ecuadorian Folkloric Dance Performance

2:15pm: Charlie Cajares, “El Abogado De La Salsa”

3pm-4pm: DJ Juan Mapu closes things out!
