Live at the Gantries – July 9th & continues every Tuesday through August 13, 2013

Live at the Gantries is a series of free, outdoor performances featuring a collection of Queens-based musicians as diverse as the borough. 2013 performances include jazz standards, big band sounds, Brazilian Farro, Middle Eastern fusion, world music, Irish flutes and whistles and salsa dancing!

Live at the Gantries starts Tuesday, July 9 and continues every Tuesday through August 13. Every show starts at 7 o’clock and ends with a spectacular sunset at Gantry Plaza State Park, a 10-acre waterfront oasis between 49th and 50th Avenues along the East River.

The series is presented by the Kupferberg Center, The New York State Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation, and Queens Theatre. It is sponsored by Pepsi Co, TF Cornerstone, and NYC City Council Member Jimmy Van Bramer with additional support from Green Mountain Energy, Queens West Development, and RCN.
