Ten10 Studios is pleased to present Uncommon Threads, an exhibition of photographs exploring the physical and existential experience of unscripted, unbound travel.
“There’s no better way to understand yourself and the world around you than by stepping into travel’s unknown and watching what appears,” says photographer Micah Rubin.
The show’s images, photographed during a 7.5-month journey from China to India, reveal the beauty of chance, fleeting moments, and the threads that weave people, places and cultures together.
Micah Rubin is a New York City-based photographer with an insatiable appetite to see and experience the world. Through his photos, Micah hopes to empower, enlighten and motivate others to experience the adventure of travel themselves.
TEN10 Studios is located in an historic LIC carriage house and opened in 2010 as both a photo studio and pop up art gallery. As a creative event venue, the quirky space has showcased performances, music, and all ranges of visual art in a distinct environment conducive to conversation and experience.
