Rockaway Artist-Writer-Filmmaker launches new book

Got A Minute? Humorous Travel Tales And Tips by Rockaway Artist Alliance member  Bob Sarnoff,  is chock full of the author’s anecdotes, ‘takes’ on vacations, vacationers, and his love of the human comedy. Punctuating the happy text are some eighty drawings, paintings and mixed media works of art. 

Susan Hartenstein recently reported in The Wave – Rockaway’s local paper:

“his funny, quirky book filled with vacation stories, is punctuated throughout with on-location paintings, collages, pen and ink drawings by Robert Sarnoff. This is the travel companion you would welcome on your journeys – even if only to your backyard chaise lounge.”

Robert Sarnoff has had One-Man Shows from SoHo to Hell’s Kitchen, from Brooklyn’s Atlantic Avenue to The Rockaways. His works are in the collection of Oleg Cassini, Eli Wallach, Arthur Ashe, Bill Talbert, Cleavon Little. His artwork appears on Marilyn Monroe’s immortalmarilyn website as well as Saatchi’s website.

Mr. Sarnoff was the Official Artist For The Robert F. Kennedy Pro-Celebrity Tennis Tournament, The I Love New York Pro-Celebrity Tennis Tournament and The United Negro College Fund Tennis Tournament. In 2004 his iconic image, Ye Olde Jetty, was selected by The United States Postal Service to become a matted print and cachet. “This is the first time in the history of the USPS that a local artist was so honored”, Postmaster.
