The Secret Theatre – No need to keep this quiet

The Secret Theatre in Long Island City opened to the public on September 5, 2007.  Richard Mazda, Artistic Director and Owner, saw a life long dream fulfilled as the studio’s conception and construction came together.  Their facility is custom-built and therefore capable of handling various shows from proscenium to in-the-round. There is a full, programmable lighting system and excellent sound. Their seating capacity varies from 40-60, or 100 standing depending on the configuration. In addition to seeing innovative theatre, The Secret also offers opportunities to members of LIC and the artistic community through their Children’s Theatre and various workshops offered.

The Secret’s mission is to enrich the NY Theatre scene by fostering a unique, creative environment in LIC.
